Nose: As a trapper, this definitely has the musky smell of castor but not overpowering at all. Heavy maple and slight brown sugar Palate: Almost a “musky” palate, maple, vanilla, hint of “breakfast” flavors almost like bacon grease-esc. Finish: very smooth with a hint of menthol later on the palate.Hand in Glove

This whiskey offers not a lot of imagination for the nose. Rye and sweetness is evident with some vanilla and oakiness that you would find in most bourbons. Slightly rich with not much oiliness. Rye comes over on the palate and some antique-like flavor with some sweetness. The finish is smooth and not much heat. The remaining flavor in your mouth is the corn. Water only makes the rye more prevalent.
