Well, I finally found the whisky matching my imagination about how the perfect whisky should taste. Simple as that. Sherry on nose. Sherry on palate. No that sulphuric ending which usually ruins the perfectness of many sherry finished scotches. Long warming finish. Despite the high ABV goes perfectly with 3-5 drops of water but if you add a little more, it will become amazing sherry liquor revealing fantastic bouquet of sweet flavors.90.0 USD per Bottle

Glenmorangie Companta
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 21, 2020 (edited June 20, 2022)I wanted to taste it for a long time but when it became clear that l missed all the chances, I saw it in some restaurant's bar and didn't withstand a tempt to order a portion. Perfect! I think it also played its part that the whisky was in already half-empty bottle for sometime and was oxydized a little, so it was ideally smooth. Never felt so clearly the dark chocolate notes in a whisky. Dark chocolate with orange. Long warming finish. Reminded me why I am a GM fan. Became my ultimate favorite side by side with Aberlour A'bunadh.20.0 USD per Pour -
Now I am happy! I started suspecting that preferences are just influenced by all these expert ratings and reviews rather than by my personal experience an feelings. Now I know that it isn't. This thing is terrible. No, it's TERRIBLE. It has no taste of something that human is supposed to take in a mouth. With the same effect some can take eat a burnt coals.

Tasted it in a bar, so very short memories. Very enjoyable - probably the most enjoyable peated malt. But something was still missing. When I got a bottle of Uigeadail and tried it, I understood what was missing. So I will wait until have a bottle of this one to have deeper sense of it and then complete my observations.15.0 EUR per Pour
