Old Tub Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 17, 2022 (edited April 4, 2022)First time trying old tub and it won’t be the last. This is a great pour for what it is, cheap bottled in bond, gives Evan Williams BIB a run for the money. On the nose cinnamon red hots, Carmel, and vanilla with a little oak. The palate is sweat up front leading into rye spice, and oak, with the typical Beam nutty note. The finish is short but pleasant and mellows out with a nice mouth feel. I will be keeping it stocked in my bar.17.0 USD per BottleWine And Spirits -
Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 17
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 26, 2022 (edited March 27, 2022)A lot of work to get this bottle, I am slightly disappointed in the pour. Overall I get grapes and cherries on the noise with a hint of vanilla. The palate is sweet at first then turns spicy mid way through with a slight cherry note on the back palate. The finish is medium short with a lot of burn and some mild oak. This is a mouth coating pour but overall not amazing, I would like to compare to other Stagg Jr. batches. Overall not a bad pour but defiantly a slow sipper.55.0 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch C921
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 16, 2022 (edited February 23, 2022)All I can say is I love Elijah Craig. This is my first barrel proof, and it is tasty. There is a nice amount of oak and vanilla with a peppery finish. I could drink this every day but it is a little pricy for a daily sipper. On the noise some dark fruit and honey notes. The palette is vanilla and brown sugar, perfect amount of sweetness. This finish is long and peppery with just the right amount of heat. What can I say I look forward to trying more bottles and hopefully some other C batches.65.0 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection -
On the nose I get brown sugar and honey with hints of floral and oak. On the palate less sweet with some oak and spice. Finished with baking spice and some oak tannins. Overall not a bad pour a step up from the yellow label, but lacks the depth of the single barrel. Upon tasting again near the bottom of the bottle it really got sweeter and more vanilla notes. I like when you come back to bourbon and like it more then before, pleasantly surprised.35.0 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection

Notes of cherry and vanilla on the nose. On the palate there are floral notes, vanilla, and oak. Finishes medium short with a little spice and oak. Another hyped bottle that you should never pay over retail, I am a little disappointed and expected more. I hope some of the other Weller bottles have more to offer.27.0 USD per BottlePLCB Warehouse

Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 1, 2021 (edited November 23, 2021)Nose is sweet and fruity with notes of some dark chocolate. Plate has some malt and dark fruit notes little sweeter for a scotch, likely from the sherry cask. On the finish there is some spice and honey with a nice slow burn. So far my favorite scotch54.0 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits -
Macallan Double Cask 12 Year
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed November 1, 2021 (edited December 28, 2021)Malty in a pleasant way, some Carmel and Fruits on the nose. Plate is coating with some grassy and fruitiness. On the finish it has a little pepper bit, and a hint of candied ginger. Overall not a bad scotch would love to try the sherry cask finish or an older expression.65.0 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection -
Some baking spice and fruitiness on the nose. The palate is nice with a strong oak note, spice, and some sweetness, finish is long to medium with oak and fruit. I also did a head to head with old Forster 1910, enjoyed both and I give the edge to 1910. I would love to try a store pick to see if there is anything else I am missing.60.0 USD per BottleFine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection
