Nose: lemon tea or lemon on the vine with a touch of honey. Palate: Lemon with a bit of sugar ( if you’ve ever had sugar and lemon comparable to that, only lighter) burnt cereal or strong black tea. Finish: very very short, light fruity sweetness. I didn’t find the whiskey to be good value, it’s very light, the flavours (for me) do not go together well, toffee flavours to contrast the lemon would’ve been a better fit, but if you’re a fan of lemon ice tea this whiskey may be for you. Splash of water is a must65.0 AUD per BottleBrisbane

The whiskey is one of the smoothest whiskeys I have tried around the price range. Nose: Predominately Raspberries; also cherries and honey Taste: Rice pudding/Crème Caramel, Pear, black pepper, small amount of berries. Finish: medium finish, vanilla and baked banana to finish. Great whiskey, very smooth, had both neat and with a dash of water, neat was preferable;however, if you don’t like your whiskey spicy, the water will take out most of the pepper57.0 AUD per Bottle

Lovely sweet smooth Scotch. Nose: is very light, toffee notes Taste: salted caramel, baked banana and pastry, little bit of spice through the middle. Finish: caramel continues with a bit dark chocolate; fair bit of oak came through here, normally enjoy the oak, but was a bit off here for me. I think I’m the exception though as most others I know have simply found vanilla oakiness. Neat was a little harsh for me, had with a dash of water and it opened up50.0 AUD per Bottle

Nose: very light on the nose, green mango, and banana Taste: very sweet- honey, custard, baked pear, touch of vanilla, there is a slight bit of oak towards the end. Very smooth. Finish: doesn’t linger but not short like others around this price point, honey and oak finish it off. Had it with a touch of water, let it breathe for about ten minutes before drinking55.0 AUD per Bottle

Nose: Buttery with a little bit of boiled/stewed pears or apples. Palate: Very Sweet- Baked Fruits (Couldn't pinpoint which ones unfortunately, (it's either a bit of an enigma, or more likely I can't correctly articulate what I taste), brown sugar, honey, and a slight bit of oak on the finish. Finish: Finish is short, Oak is more prevalent in the finish; but generally same flavours continue. In my case needed water to open it up. Very easy and enjoyable drink49.0 AUD per BottleBrisbane

Auchentoshan American Oak
Single Malt — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 22, 2021 (edited November 6, 2021)Nose: very light on the nose, peach, honey/caramel. Taste: sweet vanilla, light fruity sweetness, a tiny bit of oak and spice. Finish: finish was short to non existent; this whiskey is not a hugger. Dangerously easy drinking whiskey, very sweet with a bit of spice50.0 AUD per Bottle -
Nose: Honey, Oak. Taste: First and foremost spice, followed by honey, raisins. Finish was longer than expected for a bottle of this price; you lose the initial spice and are left with the honey and vanilla. Definitely allow some time for this one to breathe initially; without doing so will leave you thinking you just drank a cheap vodka that has been shaken in oak chips for 10 minutes55.0 AUD per Bottle
