Promise of smoke and sweetness on the nose. Oily on the tongue, creosote, smoke and a long finish with a bit of a burn. I love it.

Fruitcake on the nose, sweet and silky on the tongue. Not as long a finish as I expected but delicious nonetheless.

This was a taste of the batch 57, which once diluted to get past the high abv, has a rich sherry flavour. Smooth, rich oak, vanilla, spice and sweet cinnamon with a lingering finish. 4.3

Tried very hard to like this whisky, the nose was pleasant with sherry and spice but the burn was just too much on the tongue. Adding water lessened the burn but did not enhance the flavours at the end of the day just not a whisky for me.

Really loved this whisky right from the first whiff of wood on the nose through the long, lingering finish. The oak not too strong, the soft vanilla and sweet caramel just stayed around to enjoy. Took me a long time to finish my glass because I was enjoying the flavours in my mouth, I would give it a 5.5 if that was an option.

One of the best whiskies I have ever had. Soft and sweet on the nose, subtle oak, vanilla and caramel on the tongue and a finish that goes on and on. Love it and am looking to add a second bottle.
