vodka isn't usually something i particularly enjoy but this doesn't leave any off flavors and goes smooth enough. great for dumping in something else, like your morning coffee or that smoothie king you haven't finished yet. and i can get it for less than 20 bucks at just about any store.18.0 USD per Bottle

when you're low on funds you start looking towards ol evan and this one was a good surprise. 17 bucks later here i am. lots of vanilla, caramel and a bit of oak on the nose. going in there's a kick in the teeth and then brown sugar/caramel notes playing over vanilla and assorted spices, which moves into a corn sweetness and lingers with more caramel and spice. the oak comes in from time to time to say hello. not the smoothest or most complex but it's tasting pretty good while i check my bank account.17.0 USD per Bottle

Beefeater London Dry Gin (47%)
London Dry Gin — England
Reviewed November 6, 2019 (edited March 18, 2020)the first bottle of gin I paid for and a staple in my cabinet at this point. fairly cheap and very tasty. a lot of gin just smells like something I'd take when I had the flu so I can't comment much on aroma. Juniper, pepper and a big smack of fresh citrus hit the palate and the coriander comes through as a nice little balancing act. The best cocktails to leave my kitchen are with this, it's dry but citrus forward and has a tad touch of sweetness that allows it to meld with whatever you want it to. Wouldn't sip straight often but keep a bottle around for everything else.18.0 USD per Bottle -
Plantation Barbados 5 Year Rum
Aged Rum — Barbados
Reviewed November 6, 2019 (edited January 15, 2020)Having some on the rocks. Butterscotch/toffee/caramel mix but without any real sweetness on the initial sip, a quick flash of an almost vanilla note comes in and evolves to a lot of oak and a slight hint of orange and overripe banana. Lingering flavors of more butterscotch/toffee. Fairly smooth here, just slightly rough when drank neat.26.0 USD per Bottle
