Really pleasant nose, like buttered toast plus a pleasantly sweet vegetal note—sugar cane from the rum barrel? Flavor comes across a little flat after all the nuance to the nose.

First time drinking straight gin since I really got into whiskey. Surprised how much I enjoy this. Pleasantly sweet and the botanicals are quite complex and interesting.

So much vanilla and syrup it’s like a delicious desert but has some subtle dark notes of something vegetal or woody as well. Damn I love this stuff.
