Tastes

A little too spicy with harsh after burn and iodine aftertaste left in the mouth. Smells sweet and spicy, but if chilled a little too syrupy. Really, not a bad entry into whiskey shots at the bar (better than fireball, but that’s not really a victory). If this is up your ally you should put in 5 more bucks for a bottle of Makers 46. It’s really what makers mark should be. Still a little iodine after taste, but way smoother and when chilled you can shoot it and wonder where your favorite sweet whiskey has been all your life.

Smooth, sweet vanilla and Smokey spice, with relatively little in bitter aftertaste.... my personal fav of buffalo trace distillery so far.

Fantastic aroma, sweet on the nose, with beautiful rich color. There is Is little burn and muted spice. Surprised that it’s not as sweet or powerful as it smells. Good.

For me, best kept chilled. Sweet, with a little smoke, and a little spice and everything seems just right. Well balanced and very smooth. Considering it’s price point and availability, you should have a bottle. Was top two in a blind tasting with a few friends over of about 10 whiskeys.
