My first pisco, that I intentionally waited for until I came to Peru. I expected something similar to grappa, but so far it’s quite distinct. Smoky, orange, mineral, wood, white wine and almonds on the nose. Minerals, smoke, grape, and light bits of wood and pepper on the palate. Light peppery finish. So far so good. Reviewed September 18, 2022 (edited December 10, 2022)Batch no. 1. Nose of orange, vanilla, green apple, bell pepper, white pepper, melon, maple syrup, cake icing and oak. Very smooth, a bit candy-like on the palate, with flavors of green apple jolly ranchers, maple syrup, vanilla, wedding cake and icing. Somewhat short, but sweet, finish. Pretty solid and easy drinking. -

Reviewed September 17, 2022 (edited September 21, 2022)@twostal. Nose of sour mash corn, oak, cherry, ethanol, char, apple, pear and rich butterscotch. It’s peppery and oaky on the palate, clearly sour mash, with light sweetness; flavors of char, toffee, clove and allspice, toasted corn, pepper, oak, and a hint of cherry at the back. Lingering spicy finish. -
