Solid bourbon, but nothing special. Drinking this at a bar where it is reasonably priced.

Solid highland scotch with a little taste of peat.

For a $30 bottle, this scotch is well worth it. Great entry into peated scotch.

Mild, sweet, with a little spice to it. Not as extreme tasting as the 12 year, a more sophisticated version of the 12.

Nice smooth peaty taste, yet it has a sweet finish. Great tasting scotch, definitely worth the money.

Good value scotch, not much depth of flavor. Tastes a bit nutty, not very smokey or anything like that.

Didn't like the first sip because I wasn't expecting the peat from a highland scotch. Once that was expected, the flavor got a bit better. The hint of peat is a nice touch, but it's still not my favorite mildly peaty scotch. Loch Lomond is better, I think.
