The nose is mostly wheaty and woody with a hint of fruit and caramel notes. The palette is warm, oily, and spicy, with a bit of the sweetness from the caramel lingering. The finish is surprisingly smooth, with the fire from the spiciness of the palette staying in the mouth rather than following down the throat. There is a slight medicinal taste to the finish, and the wheat and woody notes from the nose reappear.

The nose is grainy with slight fruity and medicinal notes. The grain notes intensity on the palette, joined by hints of caramel and spiciness. The warmth lingers on the back of the tongue, leaving the finish rather smooth. The grain fades away in the finish but is still noticable, joined by some sweet floral notes.

First off, everything about this whisky is subtle. The nose is sweet and fruity, suggesting grape or syrup notes. The palette is a fascinating combination of spicy, sweet, and bread (wheat or cereal) notes. The finish is especially subtle, with the palette notes mostly fading away into a clean, smooth finish. This whisky distinctly reminds me of good tequila.

The nose is subtle, but hints of sweet and medicinal notes, with the sweet note tending toward syrup. The palette starts off just slightly sweet with a light honey note, but then quickly transitions to earthy notes, surprisingly (and interestingly) tasting of mushroom. I finally know why the"Funky" tag exists in Distiller. The finish is very smooth and subtle, mostly carrying the funky mushroom into the belly with a hint of cinnamon. Fascinating.

Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 3, 2023The nose leads with tea and floral notes, with a hint of vanilla underneath. The palette is a nice mix of subtle chocolate, woody, and oily notes. As the flavor washes back through the mouth, an intense spiciness kicks in. The spiciness dissipates slightly but does linger in a smooth finish that features honey and cinnamon.370.0 USD per BottleFlaviar
