I'm getting citrus flavors and taste from this one, maybe some apple or pear in there. The peat is there as well, not as aggressive as other peatier Islay whisky. I found myself coming back to this one over and over and will be buying a bottle again soon!

Nope, Lagavulin and I can't come to an agreement. I am tempted to buy the Distiller's Edition of the 16, but it is 2 for 2 now that I don't like. I gave this bottle away to a friend who liked it instead.

This is some amazing stuff, the Oloroso Sherry cask is complementing the classic Ardbeg flavors very well. Wait, this is 54.2% ABV? Yummy!

40% ABV (80 proof) in Sweden, feels too brittle. I'm thinking the 45% would be a much better experience.

I gave it some time after I opened it, didn't like it at first. But now it has really grown on me, really nice on the nose and the taste is vastly improved.
