Nose : Apple and vanilla give the first impression, followed by a bit of spice reminiscent of the wine finish. The final nose impression is strong on citrus. Taste : Smooth and sweet, apple mix with the wine grape to bring an interesting acidity. Vanilla and citrus come after for an interesting complexity. Finish : Vanilla, citrus and malt lead the show. Quite short, but nice. A great bottle, but a way too hefty price tag!

Nose : A sweet fruit mix gets you at the nose: apple, candied citrus, plum, abit of mango. This, combined with the traditional vanilla of the Dalmore, makes an exceptional nose! Taste : Impressive taste. Apples, honey, vanilla, candied fruits, citrus. A real fruit cake in the mouth, perfectly balanced. Its age makes the oak and malt subtle. Finish: Fruity and short, the finish dies slowly, with an interesting malt impression. An amazing bottle!

Nose : Orange is king and powerful. Nuts, spices, vanilla and spices are balanced after. Taste : Taste is pretty oaky and malty, with orange still not letting is place. A little bit of sweet smoke and vanilla peeks out on the long run. Finish : A finish long and malty. The acid of the orange is what is left on the long run.

Nose : The nose is dominated by vanilla and citrus, followed by touches of apple, plum and sherry butts. Taste : vanilla and citrus still have an important presence, but they are this time accompanied by candied fruits and a touch of bitterness. Finish : Finish is not too long, sweet at the start, transitioning to a distinct taste of malted oak.

Port Charlotte MRC:01 2010
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 4, 2019 (edited February 4, 2022)Nose : Smoke is present, but surprise for a Bruchladdich, it is not alone at the start. The wine finish is unmissable, with an interesting grape and sweetness element. Oak and vanilla takes their place in the long run. Taste : From the start, there is a fruity explosion, clearly due to the wine finish. After smoke and malt comes back in force, showing the young side of this scotch. Finish : Finish is long, and dry like a red wine. Fruity in the start, it fades slowly to get replaced by a lingering smoke presence. Water addition reveals more malt and sweet fruit.140.0 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection -
Nose : Quite complex. Earth and vegetation are backed by a bit of spicy vanilla and honeyed apple. Taste : Simple and beautiful. Malt and honey. Balanced, showing a bit of wood in the long run. Finish : Finish is powerful, starting with wood, drifting after towards honey slowly. Simple, but beautifully executed.156.0 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection

Nose : Fruity, but a little exotic. Vanilla, banana, orange, pear are the stars, but there is also mango and pineapple. Taste : The exotic fruits are still there, but they are hidden a bit by the malt. The sweetness of wine is felt after a bit. Finish : A little more intense than the taste, it is lengthy and tasty. The wine cask finish is seen here, as it is quite dry in the end.

Bowmore Vintner's Trilogy 26 Year French Oak Barrique
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 30, 2019Nose : Peat smoke is present from the start, but is instantly tempered by a wine sweetness. Matured wine is a prime in long run, alongside a touch of spicy vanilla. Taste : Wow! Sweet smoke is present, but the wine finish is the real star. Its sweet malty, woody, grapey, chocolatey composition is phenomenal. Finish : Finish is lenghty, with the wine present and slowly going away. The smoke is really faint up to that point but present for a long moment. An amazing bottle! Perfectly balanced with a distinct taste. An artisan’s work! -
Nose : Pretty fruit. Notes of plum, candied orange. Also vanilla. Taste : Taste is particular, mix of fruits, earth, wood and malt. All elements are balanced, nothing standing out particularly. Finish : Finish is pretty low-key, but better than the 12 years. Pretty malty with a touch of fruit. Better than the 12, but miss a bit of originality for an 18 years.
