Vanilla cream on neck pour. The cream covers overall with a tart mid tongue and fruity finish.

At first pour without opening up it was meh at best. Really came alive after sitting covered in glass for 10 minutes or so. I say it would be a good buy at 45-50$ range.

That’s right I still have a bottle marked $36. It was a good bourbon and paired very well with dark chocolate. Of course it’s been years since I’ve had any but crazy the MSRP prices now days unless it’s got substantially better.

I really like the flavors of tequila/mezcal scotch mixes or finishes. This is probably the best Dewars I’ve had, though admittedly I’ve only had a couple other of their bottles. The nose has a hint of the finishing but it really comes through on palate.

Maybe my palate today but far from the green label value/taste. Of course I’m one of those that feel the green is way more value than blue label. It has a young bit without the a$$ to back it so to say. Not bad but I wouldn’t buy a full bottle either.
