I hate giving all the Ardbeg I’ve had so far the same rating but each one has presented something that I love and I can’t pick one over the other at this point. This is the most approachable at first before the Islay peat hits you for a wonderful finish. You can’t go wrong with the 10, Wee Beastie, or An Oa.

Definitely has a younger feel than the 16 but still incredibly balanced. The smoke is the first thing to hit both the nose and palate but the barrel starts to come out with toffee apples and a bit of cinnamon finishing with smoked fish.

Not my favorite. A get a lot of alcohol and I’ve tried a few times to get past that.

This is so interesting. Feels very smooth and the flavor is complex. Cinnamon apples start you off before it finishes almonds and toffee. Definitely going to keep this on hand.

Tons of vanilla and banana with a slight amount of cinnamon.

This is a thick one full of vanilla oak, mixed fruit, and a bit of burnt leather. Very balanced and complex.

Glad this was added to their core lineup. Definitely a peat bomb but we’ll done with smoked salt, oak, and brown sugar. The smoke just hangs on to the finish for what seems forever!

Tastes watered down

A classic! The first sip always hits me with a ton of smoke but each sip after reveals some black coffee with burnt chocolate and tobacco and then the chocolate isn’t burnt and the tobacco lightens.
