A good amount of brown suagar, cloves and black pepper with just a hint of charcoal. Good quality stuff, though not my favorite flavor profile. Definitely worth a try if you like a spicy flavor profile.

Lots of honey and assorted fruits, along with the “grassy” (malty?) Glenfiddich profile. A nice sipper, but getting a bit pricey in my area.

Given some the lackluster inline reviews for this I was actually pleasantly surprised. First couple sips taste like apple pie. After that the spice and oak creeps up a little but still very pleasant. You have to compare this to other readily available 12 yrs like Glenfiddich and Glenlivet. In my opinion it is just as good and usually for less money.

Nice balance of sweet and spicy with just a touch of citrus. Pleasently tannic finish. Surprisingly rich for such a low proof.

Hard to get a well-aged complex American whiskey for $49 these days. Highly recommended.

I am factoring in price here, but not that much. As a port cask finished single malt this really delivers. I would put it up against Glenmorangie 14 Quinta Ruban without hesitation.

Good stuff. Goes toe to toe with Laphroig 10 and Ardbeg 10, assuming you can get it at a comparable price.

Malt, honey, and vanilla on the nose and palate. I expected this to be total rotgut, but that is not at all the case. Flavors are light but pleasant. Recommended for high balls, hot toddys and as a budget sipper.

Definitely follows the Evan Williams flavor profile with plenty of carmen and nuts onthe palate. Great mouthfeel. I give it 4 stars for general quality but at 50 USD I will have to mak comparisons to see if it is really worth the extra money over EW 1783.
