Lagavulin Offerman Edition Guinness Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 10, 2022A healthy dose of malt, honey, cinnamon, licorice, pepper, smoke and brine. A quality Islay malt, though I don’t know that it offers much that is special. I would probably take the 16 yr for a few dollars more.85.0 USD per Bottle -
GlenDronach Revival 15 Year (2018 Re-Release)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 28, 2022Quite a rich and complex dram that cycles through notes of cocoa, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, Demerara sugar, malt, dried fruits and tobacco. Big sherry influence and definitely worth a try. -
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 28, 2022 (edited November 4, 2022)Classic bourbon notes of oak, brown sugar, spice and vanilla. I’m not sure it is special enough to justify the price compared to other OF products, but I get why people like this stuff. -
Teacher's Highland Cream
Blended — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 23, 2022 (edited October 14, 2022)Pretty full-flavored for a blended scotch. Cheaper than Johnnie Red and better in my opinion. -
Thomas S. Moore Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 13, 2022Rich and well-aged with notes of spice, brown sugar, cherries, and oak. I knock it down just a little because I’m not quite sure it warrants a $70 price tag
