Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 26, 2016 (edited May 14, 2016)Not overly sweet, especially considering how it was described. A hint of peat and some nice dark chocolate up front and some fruitiness on the finish. -
Craigellachie 13 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 19, 2016 (edited May 14, 2016)Not as peaty as Laphroig and not as warm and rich as Talisker, but very well balanced. A bit of tartness to accompany a subtle sweetness balances the smoke. -
Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 5, 2016 (edited May 14, 2016)Good scotch overall, but not a bottle to purchase. First sip hits with spice and salt. Second sip is more creamy and chewy. Adding a little cool water dulls the heat but also the flavor. -
