Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandTasted October 3, 2014Cask strength makes this pretty fiery neat. But a little bit of water will mellow it out. Great caramel and fruit flavors. Some smoke, spice, and sweetness, but not much peat. Bold flavors. A great scotch. One recommendation: let this open up before sipping it. Letting it breathe really brings out the delicious flavors and smoothes it out.

Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted September 30, 2014Great value and bold flavor in this bourbon. For the price, I'll keep it in the cabinet. Contains good oak flavor,with caramel, raisin and pepper. Pretty big burn on the finish. I need to be in the mood for it.
