Complex wood and smoke. Hints of the Cabernet barrels give it a bit of wine flavor. Good mouthfeel, and pretty smooth for the strength. If left at full strength, has a slight bite at the end. A few drops of water diminishes the wine flavor, and seems to increase the bite slightly. But also seems to Mel's the flavors a bit more. Overall, would still sip it neat.

Smooth, with a slight warming effect. Tastes of caramel and warm wood, mild smoke for a bourbon, mild tannins, good medium-bodied mouthfeel, maybe a touch of rye. A very nice, easy sipping bourbon.

Decent bourbon. Fairly smooth. Not top-shelf, but a little better than average. Some notes of caramel, a little smoke, slightly sweet.

Lots of tasty flavors in this bourbon. Caramel, vanilla, smoke and spice. I've found that water or ice really kicks up the smoke, which I dislike. But neat it's delicious. Plus it's a great value. A must-have in the cabinet.

Cask strength makes this pretty fiery neat. But a little bit of water will mellow it out. Great caramel and fruit flavors. Some smoke, spice, and sweetness, but not much peat. Bold flavors. A great scotch. One recommendation: let this open up before sipping it. Letting it breathe really brings out the delicious flavors and smoothes it out.

Great value and bold flavor in this bourbon. For the price, I'll keep it in the cabinet. Contains good oak flavor, with caramel, raisin and pepper. Pretty big burn on the finish. I need to be in the mood for it.
