Sweetness with classic bourbon notes all around. Nice mouth feel with overall medium finish. Nothing special however. I did a SxS with the Heigold and the Heigold was the clear winner.

This tasting is for 2021-03 aka The Bardstown Batch. Gotta say I’m disappointed with this Bookers. Nose is nice with a bit of the peanut you’d expect, but the high proof really comes through on the nose. The taste is lackluster. With nothing special to note. The finish is probably the best part…very warming and the ethanol doesn’t come though much so Fri is well for the high 125.5 proof. In the end this is one Bookers I would pass on. Hoping it opens up as this was a fresh crack.

The nose is by far the best part outside of the cool bottle. A bit of sweetness, but nothing special. The ONLY taste was like paper…nothing else. Just really bad. Not like Cassius Clay cat piss bad but definitely a drain pour. Glad I only paid $8 on clearance.

I really like the nose….a sweet tobacco note which I really enjoy on a nose with just a touch of grain. However, the taste is less enjoyable…that grain note really comes through with a touch of astringency. Thin on the mouth, but drinks a bit higher than the 85 proof as has some spice on finish. Paid $10 on clearance at WMT so glad I have, but wouldn’t buy again.

Deep and rich. Beautiful color. I get cedar and tea on the nose and taste. This is quite a unique offering and I’m not in the mood everyday for it, but after a few warmup tastes, moving to this usually hits quite nicely. This isn’t for everyone and is pricey, so you may want to taste before the splash.

It definitely has that distinctive “Willet” taste. Hard to descibe but the best I can come up with is “herby”. In the mood for it most of the time. Solid bottle.

Very classic bourbon smell and taste. Nice Carmel and oak. 100 proof with a little spice on the finish. Not many better at this price point and widely available if it’s in your state.

The hate for this is really unwarranted. Maybe I have a honey bottle, but I have blinded this against BT, ER, and EHT SB and it easily won. I have also blinded against other non-BT products and it didn't fare as well (but though I really think BT products are good, they just don't stand out in blinds). I would buy this at MSPR, but no above. Classic bourbon taste. Great butterscotch on the nose.

Highly enjoyable. 114 proof, but drinks without hotness. Character with different notes including classic bourbon notes. Update with more notes.

This is NOT the Barrel Strength...just the standard SiB. One of my favorite dailys.
