Reviewed March 17, 2015 (edited April 4, 2016)Really improves with oxidization. N: Apricot, nuts, Werther's, over-ripe apples, lemon grass. P: Ginger snaps, skor bar, caramel, apples, more ginger, cloves, some pepper. F: Dries out, pepper and ginger. -

Longmorn 15 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 25, 2015 (edited August 20, 2016)Longmorn 16 - 48% - non-chill filtered Takes some time to open up. The palate has lots of complex flavour. N: creamy caramel, apple, slightly yeasty. P: malty, savoury and bitter. chocolate, cocoa. Hint of orange rind. Pepper. Smoked cheddar. F: medium length, rich, dry, nutty. almonds. A slight charred smokiness (not peat). -
Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish Single Malt
Single Malt — Taiwan
Reviewed December 28, 2014 (edited February 5, 2015)N: spicy and sweet, tea leaves, dried plums. Not nearly as sweet as you might expect a port finish, although it becomes sweeter with time in the glass. P: nutmeg, nuts and mocha. F: dry with bitter chocolate. Tastes young, but high quality. Really nice nose.
