Really improves with oxidization. N: Apricot, nuts, Werther's, over-ripe apples, lemon grass. P: Ginger snaps, skor bar, caramel, apples, more ginger, cloves, some pepper. F: Dries out, pepper and ginger.

N: corn, lots of vanilla, soft caramel. P: Nutty, orange peel, dried fruit. F: gentle with pepper, not too long.

N: bonfire on the beach, pepper, bacon, leather (like a new baseball glove). P: Dry, more pepper, older leather, bitter caramel (burnt sugar?). F: medium length, very pleasant. The smoke lingers...

N: Dark berries, brandy and alcohol. P: Bitter chocolate, rye. F: Quick and smooth.

Longmorn 16 - 48% - non-chill filtered Takes some time to open up. The palate has lots of complex flavour. N: creamy caramel, apple, slightly yeasty. P: malty, savoury and bitter. chocolate, cocoa. Hint of orange rind. Pepper. Smoked cheddar. F: medium length, rich, dry, nutty. almonds. A slight charred smokiness (not peat).

Supremely elegant. If you're used to malt whisky you'll need to realign your senses. N: butterscotch pudding, creme brûlée, coconut. P: creamy chocolate, cereal, caramels, almonds. F: soft and sweet, cereal

N: spicy and sweet, tea leaves, dried plums. Not nearly as sweet as you might expect a port finish, although it becomes sweeter with time in the glass. P: nutmeg, nuts and mocha. F: dry with bitter chocolate. Tastes young, but high quality. Really nice nose.
