Nose: overripe bananas and bubblegum, pear and tangerine. Palate: starts off oily then has a bit of solventy prickliness. Notes of banana runts, chocolate chip cookie dough, mint, and minerality. Finish is short with lingering spice, marmalade, dark chocolate and mint.

Fantastic young caol ila. If you like peat bombs with challenging flavors this one will be right up your alley.

Best ECBP batch we’ve had since C919.

Nose: salted caramel, toffee, overripe berries, nougat. Palate: More salted caramel and toffee, soft pretzel, spicy cinnamon bark, peanut brittle, underripe banana, rum raisin bread pudding. Finish: Long with more of the same dessert notes, chocolate, doughy cinnamon rolls, and underripe banana. Even at cask strength it’s still very drinkable and quite enjoyable. I’m not usually a fan of cask strength sherry bombs, but this one is magnificent. The salty notes help temper the sweetness of the sherry, making this a very well balanced dram.

Somehow less smoky and medicinal than the regular (43%) 10 year. New rubber and salmiakki notes, sour green apple, with some nice chocolate covered pretzels. With water added it becomes more familiar with notes of iodine, bandaids and antiseptic. Still quite different than the non CS version that we all know and love.

Youthful grassiness with loads of citrus and herbaceous notes. Green peppercorns. A little earthy. Definitely a tasty rye that I find myself coming back to every now and then.

Definitely better value than Corryvreckan. Great whisky if you can find it at msrp ~$85. Otherwise just get the uigeadail.
