2oz pour into a Glencairn w/1 small ice cube. Nose: honeysuckle, stovetop caramel, leather, super subtle white chocolate notes. 4.75/5 Flavor: honey graham cracker, cane sugar, vanilla leading to caramel, floral notes (elderflower?), lovely rounded wooded notes in the finish. 4.5/5 Finish: one of the easiest to drink bourbons I’ve had, incredibly smooth with minimal warming, leaves your mouth with a caramel butterscotch flavor. 5/5 Overall: world class whiskey, one of the best bourbons I’ve tasted. 4.75/5119.0 USD per Bottle

Reviewed September 2, 2020Butterscotch and honey on the nose with a subtle baking spice aroma in the background. The more I nose it, I pinpoint the aroma - reminds me of wassail (with orange peel). Now let’s drink... lots of toffee. And caramel. Little spice in the finish that fades quickly. Rounds out with lots of vanilla and oak. One of the sweeter ryes I’ve had. Guessing the rye in this mash bill is pretty close to that 51%. This is a lovely rye. -
- 2oz pour in rocks glass with 1 small ice cube Nose: Baking spice, spearmint, caramel, dark brown sugar, hint of smoke, raw leather Mouthfeel: medium body with just a touch of oil slick Tastes: Sweet honey up front followed by vanilla extract with a slight alcohol burn. Finishes clean and smooth with overwhelming toffee notes that blend into sweet caramel. Overall: a really lovely bourbon

Reviewed September 28, 2018 (edited October 12, 2018)Strong oak upfront on the nose. Then toffee and brown sugar aroma with medium alcohol burn. Incredibly smooth and rich with an overwhelming vanilla character. Just a touch of spice on the finish. Less spicy than most ryes - I’m guessing the finish in port barrels mellows out the typical spicy rye notes. -
