2017 bottle enjoyed neat followed by one small ice cube. Nose - new pair of dark leather shoes, brown sugar Flavor - baking spices, raw dark honey, caramel, subtle hint of butterscotch Mouthfeel - lovely slick medium bodied Overall - 4.25/5 a really great bourbon

2oz pour into a Glencairn w/1 small ice cube. Nose: honeysuckle, stovetop caramel, leather, super subtle white chocolate notes. 4.75/5 Flavor: honey graham cracker, cane sugar, vanilla leading to caramel, floral notes (elderflower?), lovely rounded wooded notes in the finish. 4.5/5 Finish: one of the easiest to drink bourbons I’ve had, incredibly smooth with minimal warming, leaves your mouth with a caramel butterscotch flavor. 5/5 Overall: world class whiskey, one of the best bourbons I’ve tasted. 4.75/5

Butterscotch and honey on the nose with a subtle baking spice aroma in the background. The more I nose it, I pinpoint the aroma - reminds me of wassail (with orange peel). Now let’s drink... lots of toffee. And caramel. Little spice in the finish that fades quickly. Rounds out with lots of vanilla and oak. One of the sweeter ryes I’ve had. Guessing the rye in this mash bill is pretty close to that 51%. This is a lovely rye.

Finishes clean and smooth with overwhelming toffee notes that blend into sweet caramel. Overall: a really lovely bourbon

5 stars b/c it’s one of the best Ryes out there. 2 oz pour with medium size ice cube. Lots of oak and leather in the nose with a slight alcohol burn. Taste is rich toffee (sticky toffee pudding) up front with a sweet candy-like cinnamon finish.

Strong oak upfront on the nose. Then toffee and brown sugar aroma with medium alcohol burn. Incredibly smooth and rich with an overwhelming vanilla character. Just a touch of spice on the finish. Less spicy than most ryes - I’m guessing the finish in port barrels mellows out the typical spicy rye notes.

Sweet toffee and burnt caramel aroma, lovely mouthfeel - a bit coating even, incredibly rich, raw cherries + vanilla flavor. Smooth and pleasant warmth on the way down. Absolutely world class.
