Reviewed September 27, 2020 (edited January 2, 2021)Vanilla, corn, oak on the nose. Palate is fairly rich in caramel and beam nuttiness. Slightly syrupy texture. Finish falls a little dry and woody. Some cornmeal and caramel too.38.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose is very sweet upfront, herbal, minty, cinnamon. Palate has that WT funk. Nice strong rye spices. Nice proof point. Herbaceous and more mint, anise, oak, jolly rancher green apple. Mouthfeel-wise it feels a little watery, lighter. Finish is oaky, dry, funky. Solid overall but leaves more to be desired. Better as a mixer I think.40.0 USD per Bottle

Best rye bang for your buck. This beat out many higher cost ryes in a blind taste test. Nose is up front and very sweet. Clove, anise, vanilla, oak, nutmeg. Palate is rich and sweet like frosting at first. Followed by a nice rye bite with spices, mint, more clove. A mouth-watering finish that lingers and slowly dries. Leaving oak, subtle cacao, mild funk. Great straight and great for mixing. 100 proof is a big plus. Can’t beat the price.23.0 USD per Bottle

Really impressive Ledaig. Nose: sweet. Caramel. Apple. Earthy peat leads way to bbq meats. Frosting sweetness at the end. Palate: characteristic Ledaig sootiness. Rollercoaster of sweet, savory, umami. Finish: very lingering. Viscous. Ashy. Burnt peat. Ash tray (in a good way). Very cloying. The best part of the experience is the nose and palate. Fantastic dram and a favorite Ledaig.80.0 USD per Bottle
