Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon (80 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 14, 2017 (edited September 22, 2017)Over-powered by vanilla and honey. Still solid, fundamental bourbon. 20-22-21-22 = 85 -
Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 29, 2017 (edited July 31, 2017)A pretty harsh and malty dram with a strong finish. Bold, but the 15 year old is better.21-21-22-22: 86 -
Aberlour 15 Year Double Cask Matured
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 28, 2017 (edited August 11, 2017)Such a shame that the hard finish doesn't live up to the full nose and fat, solid taste. 23-23-21-21: 88 -
The Glenrothes Select Reserve

Glen Grant 10 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 23, 2017 (edited January 13, 2018)Maybe the kind of classic Scotch that doesn’t make any new fans. What they miss is a nose of ripe apples and light beer, a honey palate close to mead, followed by a mildly spicy finish that lingers. 23-23-22-22=90 -
Blanton's Special Reserve
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 16, 2017 (edited February 23, 2017)Soft, round nose. Taste of orange (almost like an Old Fashioned) followed by a somewhat spicy finish. Mellow but very drinkable.
