Nose is buttery oak , baking spice , leather, black tea .Palate is very nice with the Booker dry peanut signature flavor backbone with notes of fennel seed and toasted oak with a slight oily mouthfeel . With a small cube of ice this pour really shows off . Flavors explode into notes of oak , warm vanilla, and dark cocoa. While you give up the pleasant oiliness with the ice/water you get a more expressive and approachable pour . Perhaps my favorite Booker batch since my old favorite Kathleens batch.

This pour is very similar to the Adictivo Anejo in sweetness and approachability. I almost feel its more a tequila finished in whiskey barrel instead of the reverse. very sweet with notes of agave and cherry cola . Interesting and fun pour but bourbon purist gatekeepers will be struggling with this . Hopefully they relax and enjoy the sweet cocktail like flavor this bottle delivers . Glad to have a bottle to enjoy and share.95.0 USD per Bottle

Calumet Farm 14 Year Single Rack Black Bourbon (March 2006)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed October 23, 2025Just strickly about value this 14 year pour doesn’t justify the price. The nose had dark walnut and some baking spice thats reflected onto the palate. Oak forward palate that has a slight bandaid note i have noticed in some red wines . Its an okay bourbon that doesnt offer the experience for a 14 year old juice and its priced unaccordingly for any value. -
Bardstown Bourbon Co. Wheated Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2025Notes of apple and fruit juice on the nose . Palate is sweet and also contains the fruity sweetness of apple cider and vanilla extract. Nice pour , but something i need to be in the right mood for . Some evenings its a wonderful pour and orher nights i feel the sweetness is just to distracting when i am searching for a more traditional oak richness . But for the price you cant go wrong by having this bottle in your bar for when you are looking these flavors whether its nighly or just a few times a year. -
Barrell Bourbon Batch 019
Bourbon — (bottled in) Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 2, 2025 (edited October 16, 2025)Nose has notes of apricot rum and plum . Nice flavors that include the nosing flavors , soft oak , and bittersweet chocolate . Decent mouthfeel , but not viscous enough to be a high point. Drinks near / below the 109 proof . Not an exciting bottle since nothing in the flavors really stand out , but still it faste has very good traditional bourbon flavors that present well . -
Nice pour. Very nice mouthfeel, had and interesting slight effervescence that last only a few sconds ( i have noticed this on a few of the pours from this bottle, so i do think its a product of the bourbon ) , but moves nicely into a medium viscosity pour. Notes of toasted oak , hints of burned toffee , black tea, and cigar leaf and ash. Little pricey ($130sh) , but i feel it was a worthy purchase.

E.J. Curley & Co. Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Single Barrel
Bourbon — Jessamine County, KY, USA
Reviewed July 6, 2025122.26 proof , single barrel # 38 . This is a solid pour from a relatively unknown distillery. Hard to find any information on the product on the website. I assume a standard 4 year straight product . Its has nice notes of soft vanilla and lemongrass. Hints of brown sugar which was a pleasant suprise at this price . The higher proof is providing some oily notes and length on the finish which has flavors of the light brown sugar and cinnamon. Priced at 65 bucks for a 4 year product may be hard to swallow but the juice inside isnt. -
True Story Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed April 28, 2025 (edited April 29, 2025)Neck pour. Nose had floral and toffied candy notes. Flavors of soft fruits of marischino cherry and apple juice . Although this is a Wes Henderson of Angels Envy fame newer product , it is more reminiscent of some of Buffalo Trace products . Although i tend to like richer oaky bourbon , this one wiil be a nice addition to enjoy when i am in a more easy drinking monent. Only 90 proof and the finish is short so not a lot of time to develop new notes on the finish. Score 3.75 -4 . Price is about 60 bucks , so its questionable purchase if you already have a favorite in this price range , its not going to beat it , but if you need a new product on your bar to enjoy it will serve its purpose -
Nice rich notes of vanilla oak , coconut, tea , and burnt toffee. Struggled to find any special flavors on the original neck poor , but returning to this bottle in a few days after hitting the bottle shoulder is proving to be rewarding. I assume my palate was off when i opened it originally because the pour seemed to be inexpressive , but now the nose and flavors are very present . 100 proof has nice mouthfeel. Soft oak considering 15 years , but this proves to be handy as it allows the vanilla , toffee , hints of coconut, and sweet tea to be presented
