Finally I get to taste it... Nose: roasted honey ham, walnuts, sticky toffee pudding, slightly into band-aid, orange peel Palate: very savoury but with some sweetness. Lots of chocolate and coffee beans, burnt rubber/tar, dates, toffee pudding It is oily, with oak notes, very long finish and the alcohol does add up to it's overall dimension. It's a tough call to decide if I prefer the Oogie over the Corry... I guess it will depend on the mood. Oogie is sweeter to my taste. Bother are too shelf anyway

Tasted it at a friend's. Very light in colour, kinda like a white wine... I didn't find the nose that powerful in peat... It is here yes, but not strongly. On the palate it is light-bodied, Briny, with a slight saltiness. I found the peat to be rather gentle. I didn't find this special. In terms of peat I would still stick to other drams

I thought I had enjoyed peat with Lagavulin, now this is really different with this Cory. I found Lag was possibly rounder. This, on the other hand is totally upfront and potent. Medicinal on the nose, with some dried apricots, smokey and petrol with a hint of maritime scent. The palate is like fireworks. The alcohol is indeed high (57%ABV) and brings a tingle on my tongue but in a pleasant way adding a new dimension to the palate. The notes felt (for me) and found are very savoury (bacon, charred meat on a BBQ), and mostly chocolate, tobacco and leather. To note this my first tasting since opening this brand new bottle and looking forward to seeing it evolve with time.

The nose is delicate with notes of pears, apples and dried apricots. On the palate, it is more into butterscotch, toffee, milk chocolate well balanced with some candied orange peel. Rather spicy on the finish, Christmassy and peppery. To note that I was worried with the 50 ABV, it actually remains smooth and the heat isn't that powerful. Worth mentioning it is the first drink from a new bottle and will definitely mellow out
