This pour is worth every bit of the increased age & price over the white label. I really enjoyed Black when it was 8 yr and though this NAS is a touch below it could easily be a daily drinker.

There is no mistaking the very familiar Beam nose in this. The flavors start sweet, corny & a bit of grain but the proof keeps everything short & subtle. Not bad but not good enough to be a daily drinker for me.

This was a fantastic neat pour with an initial floral nose a bit of oak and a medium finish.

The newest rendition & return to a 9yr age statement is absolutely fantastic. If it maintains this quality it could easily be my standard sipper for neat, ice chip or cocktails.

I’m sorry but to me this is a very simple and boring Bourbon with the typical corn sweetness, a hint of vanilla and no noticeable spice. Will not repeat.

I get a nose of salted caramel, some charred pork smoke & orange peel. The flavor brings a deep, toffee sweetness but is quick and beckons heat right behind. It’s good but not great.

This was a fantastic Rye and hit on so many solid notes one seeks in a SiB Rye. This had ample proof, along with plenty of spice. This ranks up there with some of my favorites but still isn’t WFE 4yr Rye.

Despite being a 95% Rye mash bill from Indiana (insert MGP) this did not hit very hard Rye notes in any area. Perhaps it was the youthful nature or the low proof but this was only “Ok”. It’s not a great sipper and not really worth the effort as a mixer when others can be found for same price. This is my least favorite and no surprise youngest I’ve had from the MGP portfolio.

Nose- sweet fruit, bubblegum and spice Palette- more berry & stone fruit along with bubblegum and a noticeable Rye spice Finish- lingers nicely and wraps it all up.

Though many chide this because of the Canadian blend I found this to be a fantastic pour each and every time. There is a nice herbal/mint note with some spice, some heat and a nice moderate finish.
