Johnny Drum Private Stock Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 5, 2019 (edited November 9, 2019)Alright since it’s officially become mixed with actually Willett distillate it’s definetly changed profile from its original Aged stated NDP stuff.... This nose is massive peanut funk like almost that Evan Williams peanut funk but more dirty sock vibe (almost like the old Ezra 7yr 101) It’s taste is like almost salty and sweet peanut brittle with a gentle finish of sweetness. #important note my bottle has been 1/3 full for about two months now so oxidation has greatly effected this... My recommendation is to let it breathe some as it softened the bitter rough vibes34.99 USD per Bottle -
Bernheim 7 Year Original Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 5, 2019 (edited May 20, 2019)I get lots of sweet cereal on the nose almost like Cheerios vibe mixed with some Heaven hill distinct peanut funk. Imagine larceny on steroidsssss! The mouthfeel is decent about as much as to be expected on something 45% so a bit thin, but I’m a proof whore if being honest! The whole vibe is okay smooth with just hints of bitter tannic if even. Like with larceny with thrown on the rocks it’s super sweet and easy to drink29.99 USD per Bottle -
Not my favorite of the 1792 line ( the full proof is) however it’s not bad! The nose has banana notes and acetone with slight oak, the acetone is off putting but is present....however when sipped the flavor has oak, lot of bananas (to be expected from Barton) slight oak. The finish is smooth and gentle Overall I’d give this probably a 80-83 overall Will buy if on sale and enjoy but won’t seek out35.99 USD per Bottle

I’m a fan floral notes on the nose with slight hints of acetone (nothing off putting though). The taste is sweet caramel , some peanut brittle thrown in. The finish is nice smooth and gently hugs the tongue. Dangerously smooth and easy to drink when I see it for around$35-40 a bottle I always stock up4999.0 USD per Bottle

Have had both the 6yr age stayed and the more recent NAS. Personally I’m a huge fan of the 6yr , you get a simple product that the things it does it does well! Surprisingly a nice blend of rye spice at the forefront followed by some oak and a nice finish. On the 6yr I’d give it an 85-88 out of 100. While the NAS one is more brash, ethanol forward and it takes an additional 5-10 extra minutes to let it breathe . The finish is also considerably shorter on the new one . It’s not bad I’ll still buy a bottle when on sale for around $17 bucks but I wouldn’t search it out. 79-82 out of 100
