Tastes

I can’t think of anything else I’d want in an Irish whiskey. Excellent.

Easy to drink. Oily, brine, salty with a hint of smoke. Vanilla on the finish and sweetness.

My first taste out of this bottle and I love what I have so far. Nose is stronger on smoke than the palette. Palette blends smoke and dissipates over time. Strong nuttiness (pecans?) and then comes a slightly sweet pineapple finish. Need to try again to figure out the nuttiness and tropical fruit. Smells like Lag, but the palette is so different.

Had this one hid away for a while and I’m so glad it’s lived up to expectations. Caramel - tons of it. Sea salt, baking spice, burnt chocolate, and walnut. All overlaid on smoke. The finish is very long. With time - marzipan and sea breeze.

Bacon fat, vanilla and allspice along with the smoke. Mellows with time.

Honey, caramel, hay, baking spices and vanilla. In my opinion, tastes best neat.
