Tastes

This is better for me with ice. My first experience (without ice) this was more peaty and smoky, but this time I can taste the vanilla on the front side, and the peaty flavor is less pronounced. It’s sweeter this time as well, which I really enjoy. Glad I gave it a second chance.

My first scotch. Really great, smooth drink, with hinds of chocolate and cherries. Got to find more.

This is incredibly smooth and easy to drink. This will be a repeat for sure.

My second tasting of this. Has a more floral profile. The vanilla and oak are still there, but drinking it neat is definitely a different experience. Will need to try more with and without ice to see if there’s a big difference in the taste for me.

This is my first barrel proof bourbon, and it definitely won’t be my last. This has an oak/vanilla nose, with a heavy vanilla flavor up front, followed with a spicy, smoky, and almost tobacco flavor. The tobacco flavor fades slower than the rest. I imagine this would pair well with a good cigar, or a rare steak. I’ll be back for more soon.

This will be a great light, summertime sipping drink. Sweet, almost a pear or green apple flavor. Another great addition to the collection.

This has a very sweet taste. Smooth, easy to drink. This will be a regular addition.

Oh wow. This is very much like the small batch but with more intense flavors. Smaller sims needed due to the higher alcohol content, but worth the complexity of flavors that follows. Very well done.

Being more thoughtful as I try this again. The nose has a sweet smell, that feels familiar, but is hard to identify. It’s almost like licorice. Lots of vanilla when it’s in your mouth, and the finish has a smooth oakey taste. Love it.

This has more bite on the front end, with heavy vanilla tones on the finish. Very good. I will enjoy this again.
