It's hard judging a Compass Box Whisky, similar to comparing and rating albums of a favorite artist. I've never purchased a Compass Box Whisky that I would not hit the re-up button on. This one is no different. Open up the nostrils to sherry and fruity notes approaching the dome piece. Minimal peat and etoh on the nose as well. Lastly, hit them with the pie crust on the nose. On the palate, there's spices and cinnamon squadding up with fruit concentrate used as pancake toppings. The finish is what takes this one home, hitting different like the climax of a rollercoaster with a long peppery finish. Very satisfied with it and to try and have a bottle; much recommended to try. With that being said, many other, cheaper Compass Box Whisky's that I would recommend before this. (elixir)105.0 USD per Bottle

Belle Meade Bourbon Cognac Cask Finish
Bourbon — (bottled in) Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 14, 2019 (edited April 24, 2020)Loving the initial notes on the nose and the cognac characteristics that arrive with it. On the nose: rye spice, strawberry, cherry, light fruit and vanilla. Taste is sweet and easy, but lacks character. The finish brings back the notes from the nose and compensates for the palate. Final Verdict: 7-7.5/10. It's a smooth, easy drink. If you have it at your bar, this may be a great whiskey to sip on with friends who are beginning to enjoy whiskey. If you don't have it, I don't see it being worth the 65-80 USD. Plenty bottles to choose over this for half the price. (frugal mcdougal)70.0 USD per Bottle -
Let me start with a disclaimer, this bottle sold me. Beautifully simple; every detail of the labeling and bottle done right. The hype also sold me. The coffee grain also sold me. Now to the actual contents of the bottle- Powerful nose- vanilla, light fruit, and liquorish there. So far not for me, but I can see why people like it. For the nose giving so much, the palate brings the notes together succinctly. The vanilla stands out there and the palate is subtle in a good way. Long spicy finish does it for me and brings it all together to make it worth it at the end.60.0 USD per Bottle
