This was a really pleasant surprise, very smooth.

Hype or not this is delicious to me. Cinnamon and vanilla are prominent, brown sugar and cherry in there too

Toasted marshmallow and hints of cotton candy on the nose. Leather, vanilla, ah I have no idea what I’m doing. This is pretty decent stuff but I’m sure way overpriced. Happily received as a generous gift but won’t spend $200 for another when it’s gone.

A Christmas gift. Little hot for 94 proof, an ice cube helped smooth it out, get a little peanut hint on the nose and caramel on the palate. Decently long finish. A fun way to mix it up from more traditional bourbons but I don’t know if I’d seek out another bottle when this one is gone.

I had to stare at this bottle for way too long waiting for my taste to return from the ‘rona. It’s real good, lot of honey and very pleasing throughout. Glad to have opened this gift from a kind stranger for a heavy pour with a good pal before heading out on deployment.

An amazing surprise under the Christmas tree, absolutely delicious and I understand the scarcity now.

Only Stagg Jr I can compare to is Batch 13. This is just as good and has some serious bite to it. Lots of notes, maybe I’ve had too much spiked eggnog today but I catch a bit of nutmeg and vanilla. Strong, spicy finish. Absolutely worth the 90 minute wait, 10/10 would wait again.

This is a phenomenal pour. Beautiful color and presentation, sweet vanilla nose and brown sugar on the tongue, strong finish. Up there with my all time favorites, a Christmas gift from my Dad- going to nurse the rest of this bottle until I can find a replacement.

Buttery nose and really a pretty good rye for $25.
