probably not the best thing I've ever had. However, when I just want a cocktail and don't want to think about it, Sailor Jerry with Dr. Pepper and a lime wedge is my go-to drink.

The review that was done on this rum leads you to believe that this is a good rum to mix with Dr. Pepper. As I always use Dr. Pepper instead of Coke in my cocktails, since it's the only soda I keep around the house, I disagree. There is an overpowering "grape drink" flavor that I just can't get over. And it is a very sweet rum, but artificially sweet, with a weird fake sugar aftertaste.

I sipped this neat, just like a good bourbon or rye. You could taste the molasses, yet it wasn’t sweet at all. Smelled like a slightly sweet Jim Beam when poured.

I was able to pour this as a sipper after work and enjoy it without putting too much thought into it. Not very complex, just enjoyable.

This rum had an overpowering fake orange scent when poured into a glass. The taste was very harsh, like a chemical. This was a bottle received as a gift, and I was so thankful I didn’t pay for this.
