Dark golden burnt orange color similar to tawney, sweet caramel bouquet with a subtle heat note. Pallet is smooth toasted corn and a moderate caramel note, later comes a mild warmth and finishes with a lasting pepper note.

Smooth bouquet mostly butterscotch, mild notes of caramel and pepper, finish is warning spice that builds and fades very nicely.

Caramel bouquet, soft pallet with flavors of butterscotch candy, though mild. This has a light white pepper note early and some moderate warmth going down, but a soft finish. Would like a bigger flavor, yet this is very drinkable neat.

It's Friday, why not? Bouquet is soft yet smoke spice with a butterscotch note on the tail. Very soft on the pallet with a bold spice the more this is chewed. Small quick sips are very similar to the nose with moderate spice and same butterscotch trail. Long savor yields some grassy notes with more pepper in the finish, yet still a final hint at some toasted caramel and the corn comes out some long after finishing. Not something I would get often (unless this goes on a crazy sale) but worth a try if you find an opportunity, and wow, Indiana bourbon has got it!

Exceptionally smooth with sherry cask notes, this is about +3 sweet and -4 peet if +/-10 scale. Very welcoming single malt, but maybe lacking interest for connoisseur's.

This may be a gem, value with unique flavor and rather smooth, rye and chocolate melt very well.

So Indiana tried bourbon... It's okay, the corn sweet is replaced with caramel/sugar, the charred barrel color is nice but not much flavor, and corn/malt smoothness with a young oak bite. As a whiskey this is fair, but adding the vanilla and mild spice notes this says I want to be bourbon, but I need more time in a barrel. I think the cost is close to value however and if you like a whiskey burn and sweet flavor, this may be what you seek.

Corn with a black pepper bouquet, mild sweet corn up front that actually is drying in flavor, rather mild and smooth, a bit too mellow overall.

Vanilla smoothness and some nutmeg up front, then a moderate black pepper barges in still with vanilla crema. Has a subtle warmth, but in no way hot, this drinks well, and has a good peat, but it doesn't hold up to a single malt, a bit mild overall.
