Had this bottle a while oxidized with just the neck, poured some on 7/24/18 and it was awesome. Maple syrup nice mouthfeel and viscosity cigar ash, long a definite keeper in the whiskey cabinet usually around $110-$120. Falls inline with the octomore for me but easier to get.

Had this in vegas June 2018 at scotch 80 prime paid $70 for 2oz pour paired it with a bison filet. Everything a typical octomore would present but not better than the 6.3 or 7.4. For that reason I wouldn't drop the $200+ on this bottle but if 6.3 and 7.4 become unicorns this may be the next best thing. "

Had at whiskey down in the Mgm in Vegas great dram would definitely buy a bottle. So different than the 6.3 flavor on the front end that hooked me . Woke up that night still tasting it definitely a favorite

Davidoff in Vegas paid 55 for a two ounce pour like the 6.3 better has more maple syrup sweetness and bacon flavor. Very comparable more briney and salty great whiskey probably wouldn’t buy a bottle

Prolly my favorite Japanese so far but would t buy but again, I just don’t think I’m a fan of Japan

Hard to find and expensive, a good whisky but doesn’t merit the hype or high price save your money and buy something else to try 😉

Saw this in whisky advocate us distillery smoked with cherrywood, beechwood,and peat $45 40% abv
