I have a generic SiB that’s a 4.25. But, I have a store pic that’s a 5+ and straight up amazing. The store pic is like a shotgun-blast of peanut brittle and hot peppermint. Exceptionally good juice. 😀👌 My generic SiB is caramel-forward, rich, and hot. Holds up very well to ice (i prefer it with a nice big cube). Not a bad value, especially given the 120 proof. Not as good as Baker’s though.

Nose - Peanut butter, oak, mint (in relative order). Palate - Tastes like it smells. Oak and peanut brittle. Oily. Some menthol and bitter undertones. Very nice burn. Long finish. Lots of residual flavors on this. Not an especially complex bourbon, but a super enjoyable one. Great dram. This is similar to the Knob Creek SiB, but a little better and more peanut brittle flavor. A little smoother, too. Worth the $7 or so difference. (Although I’ve a store pick SiB that’s way better!).50.0 USD per Bottle

Wow. This is the best $40 bourbon I’ve had. Punches above that class for sure. Glencairn. Neat. Nose: very pleasant. Fairly robust. No off putting alcohol vapor burn. Distinct musty-funky oak, and honeycomb. Medicinal. Black licorice. Palate: This is downright herbal. Dry with tannic bones. Ironically, has some sweet clover honey undertones. Black licorice. Oily. Goes in easy and pleasant. Finish: Moderate burn creeps up on you. Finish just keeps going. And changing. Long, notable finish. Overall: Complex. Unique. Herbal.40.0 USD per Bottle
