Nose: Vanilla, honey, mandarin Palate: Mandarin, extreme oak Finish: Oak, vanilla, honey Not very balanced, oak dominates the palate. Still delicious.

Nose: Honey, caramel, vanilla Palate: Honey, fruits Finish: Spicy oak, dry, nuts Basic Highland.

2006-2021 edition Nose: Caramel, peat smoke, plums, salt (mesmerizing nose) Palate: First thin, but then the smoke starts to gather, bringing seawater, fruits and spices in the mix. Finish: Oak, spices, faint smoke. This is a truly astonishing whiskey, compining some of the nice characters of speyside to the allready excellent islay whiskey. The smokiness is tuned down from the 16 yo.

Batch #60 Nose: Vanilla, raisins, plums, caramel, cinnamon Palate: Raisins, cinnamon, oak, apples Finish: Nuts, vanilla, oak My first batch of A'bunadh. Had this for a while now. Its very good but suprisingly it feels kinda watery on the palate eventhough its 60% abv.

Nose: Peat smoke, vanilla, caramel, plums, salt Palate: Heavy smoke and brine, turns to raisins, liquirice and caramel Finish: Vanilla, oak, caramel, smoke, salt So different. Its definitely Islay, but there are strong Speyside vibes to it. Abv is excellent.

Nose: Vanilla, oak, peat smoke, ash, apples, nuts Palate: Strong smoke, salty liquirice, brine, sweet fruits, oak Finish: Smoke, oak, vanilla A delicious Laphroaig edition. So much deeper than the 10 or QC. One of my favourites allready.

Nose: Peat, oak, pear, vanilla Palate: Bitter oak, peat Finish: Oak, salt water Although it's not as sweet as the 12 year old and not very smoky, it has excellent balance. Little expensive but so damn good.

Nose: Cinnamon, vanilla, oak Palate: Strong spiciness, vanilla, sweet Finish: Very oaky spicy finish Not as good as the great barrel proof bourbons, but for this price it's excellent.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, toffee, appless Palate: Caramel, cinnamon, appless Finish: Oak, caramel, vanilla This is one of the great examples I like bourbon so much. The amount of flavour you get for the price. Its so much better than the regular Elijah Craig.
