Jackson Liquors pick: Incredibly good. Heavy and sweet but with a nicely balanced spicy burn in the finish. I pick up maple, vanilla and marshmallow. I like dense, complex bourbons like this.

Classic Jack banana and oak. The sweetness comes through as caramel and maple, and the finish has a moderate amount of spice. This is alright but not terribly complex and could be smoother.

A nice, moderately smooth and well-balanced bourbon but nothing really stands out about it. Vanilla, oak, baking spice flavors, maybe some chocolate-cherry.

At first this is apple butter on rye toast. Sweet butterscotch and strong notes of cinnamon. Then the finish is a crisp dill and mint. This is incredibly unique and delicious.

Incredibly complex mix of flavors. Heavy on the mint but also lots of citrus and rye. Hints of dill, anise, raisin, oak and baking spices. Really interesting and smooth.

Sharp, spicy and rich. Chili peppers, caramel, oak, tobacco, leather. Quite complex with a long lingering spicy finish.

I love the beginning part of this taste- sweet, oak, vanilla, an oily mouthfeel, a bit of cigar smoke, maybe some caramel apple. But the finish has paint-thinner-like acetone notes that really detract from it and I can't get over.
