Tastes

Fruitcake, raisins, orange. Very enjoyable. Nice balance of sweet and spice. Long, smooth finish.

Strong, harsh, spicy burn. Every sip makes me cough and I can't even figure out what flavors are going on in this. Too much for me. Edit: more drinkable watered down but I still don't find this smooth or particularly complex.

Nice balance of sweet and spice, some oak and caramel. Quite light and easy to drink.

Campfire, smoke. Like licking charred wood. Took me a good dozen sips before I could start to get at the other flavors mixed in here- some caramel and faint fruit. Leaves my mouth numb.

Mild peat, tobacco, some vanilla, citrus. Can taste the sherry but fairly mild as well. Doesn't come across as terribly rich or complex.

Fruitcake- raisins, dates, figs, candied orange & apricots. A light citrus, floral finish. Can taste the sherry cask and like the lack of peat. Smooth and enjoyable to sip.

Smoke/campfire/peat are the overriding flavors here, but there is a nice underlying sweetness as well, and a peppery finish.

Strong rye taste, some vanilla, cherry. The finish is a bit young/grassy with a moderate amount of spice that doesn't linger long.

Mild, not very complex, but drinkable and decent for the price- sweet, vanilla, some mild green apple and a little bit of spice finish.

Great balance of sweet and spicy. Earthy nose, and the taste starts out both woody and sweet but then I'm picking up a wintery vanilla chai that settles into quite a bit of heat in the finish. Nice complexity but could be a bit smoother. Edit: I like this a little less on subsequent tastings. The finish is kind of bitter and grassy. I'm getting a licorice taste now too.
