The nose is sweet, with a hint of black licorice/anise that doesn't come through on the palate. Palate is sweet, with some vanilla, and I think some bready notes that reminds me of some glazed sweet rolls I had as a kid around the holidays. Good poor, glad I got it at Costco, not sure if dig this at $100, but it is an easy interesting pour nonetheless.70.0 USD per BottleCostco Wholesale

Jack Daniel's 10 Year Tennessee Whiskey (Batch 3)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed April 24, 2026The nose is somewhat muted, maybe some peanut brittle and ethanol. The palate is enjoyable. Peanut brittle with peanut shells, some sweetness and vanilla. Great balance. Finish is same as the palate with some drying/tannic to it but not in a bad way. It just gradually lets you know it's coming to an end. Hoping they make at least the 10, maybe the 12, similar to their Heritage Barrel and we find it on shelves regularly. -
The Nose: This is what I imagine Eggo waffles swimming in a half a stick of butter and maple syrup would smell like. I'd buy a candle if it smelled like this, phenomenal. The Palate: Matches the nose, just a maple sugar bomb in a very pleasant way. Enjoyable. Super sweet, no burn, tasting it blind, I'd be curious to see how many people think they're drinking . a mixed drink. Definitely a dessert whiskey, something that will bewilder and please your whiskey drinking buddies. The flavor dances between maple, sugar, oak, hint of ethanol, overall I find it delicious. The Finish: Long, sticky, some oak and a reminder that says "oh yea, this maple syrup I'm sipping IS a whiskey!". Overall: I broke my own rule and bought a backup bottle. This is unique, definitely in the dessert category, it might not be something I'll have more than one of in an evening, but the one pour I do have will be enjoyed.

Nose: I don't have the best sniffer. Muted, slight ethanol, frosting, some orange peel, nothing offensive but nothing to really plant a flag on Palate: Orange peel and simple syrup. Almost drinks like a strong Old Fashioned with a heavy hand on the orange peel and simple syrup. Finish: A little leather and tobacco arrives on the finish. Second and subsequent sips blends the finish into the frint and mid palate. Overall a very good pour. A lot to like for me and what i want in a boutbon. Fruity, sweet, with complexity added at the end. Another great value from Wild Turkey which is typical for them except for some of their allocated stuff.

Nice viscosity, some of the best legs I've seen a whiskey leave on a glass. Sweet aroma, some vanilla and marshmallow, but not a lot of depth on the nose outside of those few, similar notes. Easy sipper. The sweetness in the aroma transfers to the palate up front. Slight burn mid palate that transitions to a little leather note with sweetness coming back. Medium finish. Very enjoyable, glad to see it is becoming findable again.

Before I read the expert tasting notes, I described this to a friend as reminding me if a gresh apple crisp with oatmeal in the crust, with extra caramel drizzle. The palate is a nice balance of sweet, a hint of apple cinnamon oatmeal throughout and a learher note that appears on the finish that is added to the party. Not a chore to drink neat in any way, although the flavor it packs will make you want to sip it slow to enjoy it longer. Big fan of this bottle.

Neat: I get a heavy dose of cotton candy on the initial nose, vanilla and pancakes follow. Very sweet on the palate, with some dusty oak notes. The sweetness is honey, pancakes, maybe a little burnt carmel notes, all hitting around the same time. Enjoyable, drinks well below 117 proof., pretty happy with it.5.0 USD per Bottle

Salt Flats Spirits Bonneville Bourbon Whiskey

Reviewed September 27, 2023If i smelled this blind I would've guessed Macallan 12. On the palate, it bounces between a heavy corn whiskey young in age and the Macallan flavors. I like both, so this went over well for me. No real oak presence to pick out, lengthy sweet finish.29.99 USD per Bottle
