Wild Turkey Bourbon 101
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed February 19, 2022 (edited February 21, 2022)Nothing spectacular, but for the price it’s nearly unbeatable. Decent proof that would hold up in a cocktail, but is still solid enough to enjoy neat. All around great.
Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed February 14, 2022Heavy ethanol on the nose. Initially the palate was hot fire, but as it’s opened up, it’s chock full of honey and maple-y peanutty goodness. The finish is medium length and almost evaporates off the tongue.
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USAReviewed February 10, 2022 (edited July 5, 2022)Nose is sweet and fragrant. The palate though… was lacking at first. Fell flat and was mostly ethanol, but eventually some banana flavor came through. Overall, unimpressed honestly.
Henry McKenna 10 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed February 4, 2022 (edited May 9, 2022)Nose is softly sweet with just the right amount of orange zest. The palate is easy with a hint of cherry. The finish lingers awhile with just the right amount of ethanol. Easy to see why this won awards recently.Brazed Bourbon & Beer
Devils River Coffee Bourbon
Flavored Whiskey — USAReviewed February 3, 2022All coffee on the nose. Tons of chocolate on the palate. A sweetness that lingers just the right amount on the finish.Devils River Distillery
Devils River Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed February 3, 2022Definitely fruit and vanilla on the nose. Oak and honey on the palate with an easy ethanol burn. Soft mouthfeel and good warmth on the finish.Devils River Distillery
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed January 14, 2022Nose is port (obviously) and sweetness. Palate is wood and grapes. Finish is light and fleeting. As the low proof would lead you to believe, there’s not much ethanol burn at all.
Early Times Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed January 2, 2022 (edited January 8, 2022)Smoke, caramel, and ethanol on the nose. Vanilla on the palate and the finish. Short and sweet burn.
Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed January 1, 2022Least favorite bourbon I’ve tasted since getting into it. Unsure of why I don’t like it, but I just prefer other options.
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed December 29, 2021Vanilla and oak on the nose. Very woody and earthy on the palate. Finish is subtly sweet. Best enjoyed on the rocks.
