Definitely a whiskY. Nose is really sweet, buttery corn. Think tequila... Palate starts sweet, quickly turns buttery with oak, leather, smoky, oily finish. Tastes nothing like it smells. It smells immature and tastes aged for a half second, but has a short short finish. It's definitely interesting, but won't buy a 2nd bottle anytime soon.

Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 27, 2017 (edited April 29, 2017)Vanilla nose. Tastes much different than the nose suggests. Oaky spicy palate with some dried fruit but not overly sweet. Great finish - long, thick, creamy finish that coats the mouth with the spicy, dried fruit. I tend to gravitate toward thick, oily whiskeys, so this one hits the spot. -
Unique Bourbon. Heavy cinnamon on the nose with some other spices. Some vanilla sweetness as well. The spices continue on the palate. You definitely feel the heat. It's a hot whiskey. Complex finish, longer than I would have expected. A lot of nuttiness and saltiness. Light oak as well. Great bourbon for the price point.
