Tastes

I think my taste of this was ruined by expectations: I've read so many reviews that talked about how sweet this was, I expected sweetness at the level that'd lead you to suspect dosage. TLDR: I had low expectations. That's not at all what I get here, maybe it's the dilution to 43% ABV, but this is fuller flavored but tempered- the oak is restrained.

Very light, not unpleasant but no real depth to the flavor.

On the nose, bananas, bananas, bananas! The palate is simple and clean but the bananas are still there, now with a bit of spice as well (might be the alcohol). Finish is a little longer than I expected - even after the alcohol clears I still have some overripe fruit on my tongue.

Citrus, ginger, and maybe a hint of apple.

Salty goodness.

Gentle and balanced, nice fruit and grains.

Wonderful mouthfilling sweet smokiness. Long finish with lots of iodine.
