The Grouse is a great daily sipper. The cost is so comfortable that it works great when mixing a refreshing cocktail, but the quality is so outstanding that it is a comfortable sipper. It doesn't have the complexity of an aged single malt, but too many people, IMO, are focused on price and age as deal breakers when judging Scotch. $31.99 for 1.75 liters.

Like the whole Ardbeg line, you get a delicious, meaty Islay here. What makes this offering stand out is the intense, sweet fruit bites that just slap you across the face. They are so strong that they give the combination punch of peat and smoke a real run for their money. I find this full of heavy, enjoyable layers, but if you aren’t up for the sweets, stick to Uigeadail (which I love equally!)
