Beautiful dark amber color. I guess that's no surprise coming from a double oaked whiskey. The nose starts off with vanilla and caramel then tobacco notes. Lovely legs. Very much benefits from air. On tasting, the tannins come through strongly first sip felt a little like alum. After splash of water, the flavor started to round out. You pick up some burnt cherries. I'm not sure I'd pull this whiskey out for fun. However, it would be a must have at any whiskey tasting

First I have to admit that I'm a big Willett fan. Noah's Mill is a great product. So I admit to some bias. The nose starts with a big chocolate which carries through in the tip of the tongue. I do catch the vanilla and brown sugar.Overall I still prefer Noah's, especially because there's not a big price difference, but there is absolutely no reason to not drink this as well

Belle Meade Bourbon Sherry Cask Finish
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Tennessee), USA
Reviewed June 10, 2017 (edited October 7, 2017)The nose has brown sugar and minerals. The Sherry does come through but very subtly. Definitely can taste the spiciness from the rye. The finish is a little sour for my taste. -

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2017-01 "Tommy's Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 29, 2017 (edited December 17, 2019)Lots of chocolate smoothness. Round and syrupy on the palate. However, it doesn't have the notes and wonderfulness of big man. But it's still very nice
