Tastes

I've been wanting this bottle since quite some time now. After finally buying the bottle (yes I do have a list in which order I buy bottles because otherwise I would be broke each and every month) I opened it and it smelled like a glue factory, with a harsh alcoholic smell. Giving it a couple of minutes of air, the notes of warm cinnamon buns and dark chocolate came through. The tastes of pepper, caramel, and dried fruit are a nice touch to this whisky. The finish is sweeter than expected and long lasting and has a touch of dried fruits to it. Pretty nice bottle and one to have on the shelf

On the nose: Got some vanilla, white chocolate, cream pudding, orange and citrus. It makes me think about a cold, early morning in an Austrian bakery. On the palate: Fruits, flowers, light grass like. Misty mornings at the lake. Finish: Short but happy! :)

Nose: smoke, leather, floral/herbs, cotton candy Taste: light, peat, ground, wet forest. Finish: long lasting smoke with hints of honey.

On the nose: a lot of warmth and spices. Letting the dram grab some oxygen opens up the nose. It gives me the feeling to let it grab the air for a couple of minutes before sipping. After a couple of minutes i got vanilla, butterish, oil paint, cannabis. After a couple of smells this makes me think about my dad's old army stuff. There is no way you'll expect to hit a 51.4 percent whisky On the palet: vanilla, nuts or peanuts, dried fruits and oak. Even though it has over 50 percent alcohol it has a kick in the beginning but that fades away quite nicely. Finish: long lasting warmth, spices, dried raisins . A very complex taste in which it was quite hard to find the right words for it. Really good!!

On the nose: smells like a wood cutting shop, makes me think about a violin. Barley and 98 percent dark chocolate. Palet: warm oats, citrus peels, sweet pear and oak. Finish: long lasting warmth like a copper oil lamp or petroleum like.

On the nose I got sweet/bitter green apples, honey sugar and vanilla. The whisky is soft as butter with hints of burned wood, brown sugar, toffee and flowers The finish is like a nice smoky campfire under a cold starry night. Definitely one to have on the shelf and remembering old memories with some friends!

This is a wonderful whisky at that price. For 24 euros a bottle this is a must have and a nice alternative for the Jack Daniels bottle everyone has as a 'daily drink'.

Great whisky to have on the shelf. 30 euros a bottle makes this a good allrounder to have. Got some fruits and vanilla. Somehow i get some dark chocolate as well sometimes.
