Tastes

A friend brought some to a cookout for me to try. On the nose I got macerated fruits and vanilla. This stuff is smoooooth and sweet. Loved it!

I was the first to get a bottle when it came off the truck today. This stuff is smooth as silk. Heavy vanilla and very light brown sugar sweetness; all a proper wheat bourbon should be. Still smack’n my lips.

Pretty ok. For the price, you can’t beat it. 100 proof too...

Batch 1479. Heavy molasses, vanilla and dark brown sugar. Pleasant on the nose but too sweet for me, like pancake syrup.

I got roasted peanuts on the front of the tongue. It is a lot smoother than the 6 year. Under tones of dark chocolate.

I liked it. I consider myself somewhat a novice and have been on the wheat side since the beginning. I have to say, if rye is like this, I’m in! Definitely surprised that there was no “punch” at the beginning, and how smooth it was. Sweet with slight citrus/ peaches on the short, spicy-sweet finish. Good stuff!

Really smooth. I got hints of macerated apples and the finish is medium. Good buy!
