Nose: Dried vine fruits, orange oil, light brown sugar. Subtle smoke. Palate: Creamy. Light heather honey, smoke starts to develop. A touch of sherry sweetness. Finish: Some baking spices with a lingering smoke like the waft recieved when lifting the lid of a BBQ to check the sausages aren't burning.

Berry Bros. & Rudd Classic Speyside Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 3, 2023Nose: Very light and fruity. Pineapple, honey, some unripe mango. Palate: Creamy mouthfeel. Crisp green apple and sweet pears. Light maple syrup. Finish: More apple on the finish but softened like a cooked apple. Lasting finish of heather honey. -
Nose: Plenty of peat and sweet smoke. Some grains. Palate: On the oily side. Sweet BBQ smoke. Honey glazed ham. Finish: The sweetness lingers together with a warming campfire smoke. Notes: The ABV means this has a lot of the peated qualities but without the wallop of Ethanol. That may be a detractor for some but it will be good for anyone who's into sweet scotches looking to branch out to peat.

Teaninich 11 year old 2010 (cask 356846) James Eadie (Master of Malt Exclusive)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 10, 2022Nose: Sherry fruit notes. Jammy, sticky sultanas. A faint nuttiness develops. Palate: Sweet sultanas and tropical fruit. The ABV throws it's weight. Finish: Oaky with barrel spiciness. Some chocolately notes. Notes: the nose is vastly more interesting than the palate. -
Nose: Light, heather honey, almost neutral. It takes a solid nosing to bring out citrus zest. Edit: Give it 15-20 minutes to breathe and it opens up. Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, caramelised banana, light citrus, peppery heat. Finish: Dried fruits like sultanas, undoubtedly from the sherry cask. A touch of oak.
